Our Story

In 2018 Rob was working full time and Kaitie was home with their big family full of young kids. Kaitie was approached with the idea of opening an in home daycare and she told the person they were crazy and laughed at them. After thinking about it for a few weeks Kaitie decided this was the perfect way to combine her love of children and love of early childhood education. In 2019 Laugh & Learn Academy was opened as an in home childcare. As time went on Rob & Kaitie outgrew their home with a huge waitlist and growing kids of their own. They started looking into expanding onto their home which long story short (You can hear the long story in the video below) turned into opening a large center based child care facility in 2023!

Our Daycare

 

Laugh & Learn Academy is a Maine state licensed child care. We have two locations here in Houlton.  While Laugh & Learn runs on structure and education we also realize the importance of fun, play and laughter in growth and development.  We work to develop caring and responsive relationships with children from infancy through school age.   Our days revolve around a schedule that’s designed for both structured and unstructured activities. Our goal is for your child to feel like a part of the family and leave our childcare with a foundation for future learning.
